Pilgrims Pride Covid-19 outbreak. A panel discussion

PROTECTING WORKERS AND THEIR FAMILIES. To all those interested in protecting workers in the meat packing industry from COVID-19 infection (including workers who are immigrants and refugees, and their families), I invite you to register for the Zoom panel here, on THURSDAY, MAY 28, 7:00-8:30 PM. I participated in organizing this panel and will be one of the facilitators for the discussion. Among other things, panelists will talk about conditions at the Pilgrim's Pride chicken processing plant in Cold Spring, here in my Central Minnesota community. YOU MUST REGISTER TO JOIN US FOR THIS EVENT. Here is the registration link: https://us02web.zoom.us/…/tZcocOmvrzwrGNCE2ISP1YKOd7KsgDSeo… Once you register, you will get an email with a Zoom link that will get you into the meeting after the hosts start it at 7 pm next Thursday. If you have been following my FB page, you know that I have posted a lot about the explosion of COVID-19 infections at meat packing plants, which have then triggered surges of cases and deaths in the surrounding community. I helped to organize this panel because this directly affects MY community and people I know and care about. I would like now to know what I, and others, can DO about this situation. I hope you can join us on May 28. --Jim Read
